Hello all,
Hope you are having a good Sunday.
Was just going through this interesting book of W. Knickrehm again:
Offiziele und lokale Munzpragestatten des Gallischen Sonderreichs in und um Treier. Band 15 - Kleine numismatische reihe der Trieren munzfreunde.
Part of this book is on the coin production items (and coins incl. 3 great abschlage) he in 2005 found close to the Porta Nigra (Simeonstift).
In the find are, except the coin dies, all items needed for production of coins found.
My question to the fellow “Gallic emperors” coin enthousiast here:
Did any coin dies used for the production of coins for the Gallic emperors survived ?
I recall seeing once a coin die of Postumus but unfortunately can’t find any information or pictures of it back.
Merci!
