Ah so also posted here already in what looks like my first post on this forum
For me two different “mistakes”; the PVAX is a die cutters “mistake” and these two VIRTVS coins are minting mistake.
With regards to the PVAX coins there are as far as I know 2 different views on this type:
1) Die cutters mistake
2) “Street” Latin: writing after pronunciation. Like PIAETAS (instead of PIETAS) and ERCVLI (instead of HERCVLI). Interesting is that all known PVAX examples are from the early issuing phase and thus the theory is that the quality control increased and the “street” latin wasn’t “allowed” anymore.
Looking at the spacing of the letters and after reading the “street”latin theories again I’ll go with this explanation.
