A rare Marius VICTORIA AVG

Hi!
I have bought a rare type of Marius VICTORIA AVG.




It could be misattributed as Elmer 639, but thanks to a reverse and obverse die link, the coin appear as a rare draped and not cuirassed bust as the only one officially known Blackmoor hoard n. 4667.

This is the specimen with the two die-links:




The coin is known also for a third specimen listed in AGK and recently sold by Jacquier in the auction 42/2016:



In the recent South Petherton hoard there were 81 antoniniani of Marius but none of this type, only 5 ex. of the Elmer 639 with cuirassed bust.

What do you think about this issue? Do you know some other piece or there are only 4 specimens?

De tête, il me semble que toutes les monnaies de Marius on leur pendant buste cuirassé / buste drapé.
De mémoire toujours, je crois que Hans Gilljam a recensé tous les coins de droits et de revers pour Marius, comme il l'a fait pour Lélien.

Found two other examples with this bust type in an old auction of Kolner Munzkabinett.

So, now, the specimens are 5. Not an isolated issue I think...

@grigioviola, as n. 4667 is not shown in the report on the Blackmoor hoard I’m wondering if the example that you showed is the one from the hoard.

This piece came from the french market and it's now in UK, property of a collector/numismatic seller.
It's not the one listed in Blackmore hoard.

Ah ok; thought it must be the blackmoor piece because of your remark that there are 5 specimens now known.

Listed in P.-F. Jacquier Munzliste 18 and 19 (same coin) and also published: “VICTORIA AVG - Ein neuer Typ des Marius” by H. Gilljam (NNB 4/97, page 177).
